Internationally-renowned mountaineer Doug Scott gave a fascinating insight into the world of extreme mountaineering and the work done in Nepal by Community Action Nepal.

We have just returned from a most enjoyable International Evening at which Doug Scott CBE was our guest speaker.

He is an extraordinary man and inspiring speaker, having made 45 expeditions to the highest ranges of Asia, and was the first Englishman to climb Everest. However, what came across to me was his philosophy of life and made me realise how fortunate we are to live in our country. He is devoted
