Rotary International's End Polio Now campaign is a global humanitarian initiative launched in 1985 to permanently eradicate polio across the world. Purple crocuses are planted for display in the early Spring each year, to symbolise the purple dye put on children's little finger, generally in less developed countries, once they've had their polio vaccination.
