The Heartwize-Rotary CPR Training Programme

Heartwize, in conjunction with Rotary in the East Midlands, specialise in training schools and community groups in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of defibrillators (AED). These simple skills can significantly increase the chances of someone surviving cardiac arrest if used immediately. It’s what is known as the chain of survival:

EARLY recognition      EARLY CPR     EARLY defibrillation      POST resuscitation care

What are the benefits of learning CPR and how to use a defibrillator?
Nearly 200 cardiac arrests take place every day in the UK. Most of these happen at home. 50% of them are witnessed by someone.

Ask yourself the following - if this happened to a member of my family would I know what to do? Would anyone at home know what to do if it happened to me?

With quick intervention, that person is more likely to survive the event. Chances of survival decrease by around 10% per minute if no action is taken. Performing CPR buys time and allows professional services to arrive and for time to access a defibrillator.

Here’s How We Can Help:

Community Groups – We can provide free training to local community groups at a time and place to suit you.
Businesses – We can provide training for your staff. Or we can train your first aiders to enable them to train others across your organisation.

Contact – Get in touch with Heartwize: email John Dehnel, john@jdehnel.net, or phone 07774 231098. Or contact your local Rotary club. We will arrange a convenient training session with you.
