Fundraising and Fellowship

Our club makes financial grants to a wide range of charities and other good causes, both locally and abroad.  To fund these grants, we put on a regular stream of entertaining events to which members of the public are always invited.  The highlight of the year is always the Charity Dinner which we co-host with the Kettering Rotary Club.

Other events held so far this year have included a summer gala music concert, a jazz lunch, a quiz, a charity breakfast, a wine tasting evening and a soup and roll supper.  In the coming months we will also be hosting a chillie evening, a silent disco and a mini rock concert.

We also raise funds through activities such as growing and selling plants, holding charity auctions, collecting and selling games and jigsaws, chopping up and selling kindling firewood, etc.  Some of our members also raise money through sponsored challenges.

Of course, even while we are fundraising, we like to have fun and to this end we organise regular social events and outings for our members to enjoy, all of which helps to maintain the genuine sense of friendship and mutual support which binds us together.
