Rotary Solihull St Alphege Focus on the Crocus
To mark World Polio Day on 24th October 10 members of Rotary Club of Solihull St Alphege planted 1,000 purple crocus bulbs in Malvern Park, Solihull. Jo Ann Williams of Solihull MBC Parks Department and Head Park Ranger Barry Lowe assisted them and provided the necessary tools.
The club will also be planting, in November, a celebration tree at the location. This will be an Acer Platanoides Crimson King - Purple Norway Maple which has purple leaves which turn golden in autumn.
