Fashion Show 2018

This was our first event of this type with a very pleasing result

Rotary Fashion Show – 25th October 2018

A sell-out audience of 130 Rotarians, family members and guests attended a memorable and fun-packed evening’s entertainment at the Crowne Plaza on Thursday October 25th.

The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Flo Nash and fellow Councillor Linda Cole, graced the event with their presence.

The primary entertainment was an excellent Fashion Show presented by House of Fraser supported by sumptuous displays of jewellery, cosmetics and perfumes, samples of which were included in gift bags presented to all the ladies who attended the event.  The audience was pleased to hear that our local House of Fraser Store is NOT one of those which will be closing down.

This Fashion Show was complemented by a polished performance of songs, wit and humour given by Chris King, voted ‘Best Male Vocal Entertainer’ of 2008, by Birmingham Entertainment Secretaries Council.

The event had been staged to raise funds in aid of Marie Curie and other Rotary causes and was organised and presented by the Rotary Club of Solihull St Alphege.

Thanks must be extended to the numerous donors of raffle prizes and Silent Auction rewards made by local businesses.  These alone raised the sum of £1150!  Thank you on behalf of the various charitable benefactors. The overall sum raised from the event was about £2,500.
