The GLP further aids literacy in Guatemala with its Rise programme, which provides scholarships for children whose family circumstances would otherwise prevent them from getting an education. Donors, largely International Rotariry Clubs, pay their school fees.

Kenilworth Rotary has for many years supported students in this way, often females; below is the picture of Angélica S. our current (2024) student. She is from Saquitacaj, in the NW Highlands of Guatemala; she wishes to become a nurse.
