We organise an annual competition alongside The Rotary Club of Coventry between the schools in Coventry and Kenilworth.
Rotary Youth Speaks Competition March 2022
Thank you Sidney Stringer Academy for hosting the Rotary ‘Youth Speaks’ competition. After Covid and being ‘live’, the atmosphere at the event was even more amazing than ever. Aged 14-17 could you have debated ‘Mainstream feminism: fundamentally futile?’ or ‘Democracy – is it fair to society?’ or ‘Is society actually absurd?’ The hard work and dedication of the students and teachers shone through in what are still challenging times in schools.
In front of a very professional panel of judges Sidney Stringer Academy emerged as the winning team and will be competing in the Rotary District final (West Midlands) next Saturday.
