This year, our annual Art & Handwriting competition, now in its 20th year, attracted over 1000 entries from children from 11 local primary schools. It showcases impressive artistic flair and beautifully presented handwriting.
The awards ceremony took place at Nantwich Museum on Saturday May 16, with prizes presented by Nantwich Mayor Kim Jamson and Immediate Past President Rod Stokes.
The art competition entries were judged by the Wistaston Art Appreciation Group, while handwriting expert Frances Passmore had the difficult task of selecting the top handwriting entries from an exceptionally high standard of work.
Teachers, parents, friends and family packed the museum to cheer on the children as the winners were announced.
Silver medals were awarded to 28 pupils representing the strongest entries from each participating school. Gold medals and £25 gift vouchers were presented to the best overall entries in each category.
