Supporting the Community

St Machar Rotary keeps in touch with, supports and assists, where we can, many local and national charities. The list includes CHAS,  CLAN, UCAN, Befriend a Child, ARI Therapeutic Roof Garden, Friends of Duthie Park, Charlie House, Gathimba Edwards Foundation, The Scottish Air Ambulance Charity and many more. 

Within our operational area, we have 3 main community groups at Powis, Froghall and Tillydrone. Our Members and Friends volunteers teams provide support and assistance to the centres where we can such as helping out at Gala days, carrying out collections for food bank supplies and doing a bit of grounds maintenance.

We all enjoy a bit of music and we need to encourage youngsters in promoting musical arts. The North East Scotland Music School (NESMS) plays a vital part in providing musical tuition for talented youngsters. St Machar Rotary provides an annual sponsorship to NESMS to support one worthy individual each year.
