Rotary Reacts to the Nepal Disaster

Rotary's Response to the Nepal disaster

We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the flash floods in Nepal. Rotary members are responding alongside communities in need.

As communities across Nepal deal with the devastating impact of the disaster, the immediate focus is where it should be — on the people who have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods, and those still waiting for news.

Rotary clubs and volunteers are already mobilising, working alongside local organisations and communities to respond to immediate needs.

Across affected areas, supplies are being gathered, donation drop-off points and clothing drives have been established, and Rotary clubs are working with AquaAid to help provide essential support. Disaster Aid Nepal is also on the ground assisting with relief efforts.

There is a long road ahead for many communities. Right now, it is about doing what we can, where we can, and supporting those already on the ground.

You can support these efforts by donating to the Rotary Disaster Response Fund.

Your contribution empowers clubs to address urgent needs through disaster response grants, providing critical resources to people affected by the floods in Nepal and other disasters around the world.
