A talk on Nursery Rhymes by Rona Catterall
Our speaker was Rona Catterall, having being invited by Colin Price. Rona gave an amusing and highly entertaining talk on Nursery Rhymes and their history and development. Quite a few of them were about politics, ‘Ring –a-ring o’rosies’, was about the plague. Whenever we hear ‘Goosy Goosy Gander’ and ‘Jack and Jill’ in the future we shall look at them in a different light.
