Bowling Competition between Crompton & Royton and Chadderton & Failsworth Rotary Clubs
Our annual bowls evening, as guests of Chadderton & Failsworth Rotary Club, was held as usual in the peaceful surroundings of West End Bowling Club, Werneth. Unfortunately this year we fell below our usual standard and were beaten by our hosts. President David presented the trophy to the worthy winners and we look forward to competing for the trophy again next year.
We must thank our hosts and friends at Chadderton & Failsworth for entertaining us so generously with a potato pie supper, and the liquid refreshments were most welcome on such a warm and pleasant evening.
