ENTRY: THROUGH MY EYES – PEARLE SMEDLEY-CASTLE

Near the eye & through the eye …
The perspective of this photo shapes like an eye and it is my own capture of the London landmarks close to the London Eye. I visit London regularly to visit my family and I enjoy photographing the views that the everyday tourist does not always see.

Waiting for Storm Dennis (Winnning Entry)
On a cosy Saturday afternoon stuck inside due to bad weather I captured my mum’s friends’ cat, Murphy, peering in from outside as ‘Storm Dennis’ approached. I love the way the droplets of water are captured on the glass of the window and the colour of Murphy’s eyes.

Nature calls ...
Nature always brightens my day and the colours and shapes within it always give me joy. I took this photo on a walk during the Christmas holidays. I felt very positive for being outside striding along and saw lots of interesting things on this particular route at Tideswell Dale in Derbyshire. This captures the shapes, colours and textures that I find wonderful through my eyes looking through and beyond a plant’s stem into a secret world.
