Rotary Clubs of Bakewell and Buxton are running the annual Tunnel Tramp sponsored round walk (no bikes) of 5, 12 or 16 miles in glorious Derbyshire starting at Hassop Station and taking in the tunnels of the Monsal Trail. You can do the walk for any cause close to your heart or whatever inspires you. The walk is open to everyone; it is not restricted to Rotarians. Good route directions will be provided and marshals will be on hand at strategic points to assist. For more details click on Tunnel Tramp Basic Information
Date: Sunday 28th June 2015.
Time: 08.30 until 17.30hrs, no walker will be permitted to start the Long walk after 11.00hrs, although the shorter walks can be started up to 12.00hrs.
Cost: £5.00 per walker or £10 family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children under 16 years. £4 of the £5 will be distributed to charities supported by the Rotary Clubs of Bakewell and Buxton. The remaining £1 goes to the Peak District National Park.
Entry: Not allowed on the day and numbers are limited to 250. Please download and complete the Tunnel Tramp Entry Form and return it as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed.
Entries will close on Monday 22nd June 2015.
Walks: All start at Hassop Station: Short 5 Miles to Monsal Head and back to Hassop Station. Medium 12 miles to Millers Dale and back. Long 16 miles Topley Pike and back. For more details click on Tunnel Tramp Basic Information.
Sponsorship: Walkers are encouraged to seek sponsorship for their favourite charity (or Bakewell or Buxton Rotary). You need to collect any money you are sponsored for and pass on to your group or chosen charity. However, we would be delighted should you decide to donate your money to the Clubs. Rotary Club of Bakewell is a Registered Charity (Charity No. 1096205) as is the Rotary Club of Buxton (Charity No. 1032437). Using the Gift Aid Scheme on the Sponsorship Form means that every £10 sponsored or donated is worth £12.50. Use the Tunnel Tramp Sponsorship Form.
