Letter of thanks from Derbyshire 4x4 chairman
"On behalf of Derbyshire 4x4 Response, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to you and the members of Buxton Rotary for your incredibly generous donation of £1,000.
The timing of your support could not be better. As Sam mentioned, the donation will be used towards the significant fuel costs we have incurred while supporting Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service during the recent moorland fires.
Our volunteers have spent many hours supporting crews on the ground, transporting firefighters, equipment, food and essential supplies to and from the fire line. With the distances involved and the difficult terrain, this has resulted in considerable fuel costs for our vehicles, which are otherwise largely met through our own fundraising and donations.
Your donation will make a genuine difference and help us continue providing this support to the emergency services when they need us most".
