They donated their old laptops, tablets and mobile phones to Dundee charity Mission International who will send them to schools and colleges in Ghana and Uganda.
The devices may be redundant here but in Africa where there is a lack of ICT equipment in schools and colleges they are vital educational tools.
“These ICT devices are much needed by pupils and students in these countries but there aren't enough of them to go round, and this limits young people’s ability to learn,” explained Hugh Henderson, director of Mission International.
“These laptops, tablets and phones will help pupils and students in Africa to learn and will be of great help in their education.”
“We’re very grateful to Dundee Rotary Club for supporting thus cause.”
Wendy Maltman, President of Dundee Rotary who presented the devices with the club’s International & Foundation chair Andy Argo said, “We are delighted to help Mission International in this most worthwhile venture.”
