Tracey Wilkinson
is the Principal Anatomist and Cox Chair of Anatomy at the University of Dundee. She is medically qualified with a PhD in biomechanics and anatomy, and has worked in several universities both abroad and in the UK, including all four of the home countries, having previously been based in Cardiff, Belfast and London. She has also worked for several years in Germany and parts of Africa. Her main interest lies in learning and teaching, with many years of experience in higher education, mostly involving undergraduate and postgraduate medical, dental and anatomy students, but also several paramedical disciplines. Her research interests include biomechanics, functional anatomy, human variation and medical education. She teaches topographical, functional and clinical anatomy. Professor Wilkinson is a member of several societies in the anatomical, medical education and biomechanics fields, and runs the Anatomical Society’s international Anatomy Training Programme for young scientists.
