Octoberfest is a fun afternoon of races for primary schools and has become a regular event.

The Octoberfest Fun Run is a local event which has become an essential part of the autumn calendar for local schoolchildren.

Each competitor recieves a medal as a reward for their efforts.

In recent years, the runners were also encouraged to use the Octoberfest run as a means of generating sponsor money for the local branch of the charities Mind and Save The Children.
