ROTARY TRACTOR RUN

A Charity event to raise money for good causes. Organised by Dingwall and Inverness Breakfast Rotary Clubs in association with Easter Ross Young Farmers.

Over 60 tractors driven by the Easter Ross Young Farmers took to the streets on the evening of the 30th December.  They made a spectacular sight decked out with fairy lights, with all fixed lights blazing. A cacophany of sound from engines and horns accompanied them. Driving from Dingwall Mart through the town and then on to the villages of Maryburgh, Conon Bridge, Muir of Ord and Beauly they finally came to rest at the Black Isle Showground for well earned refreshments.  They weren't finished there though, because after their break, they convoyed on to Tore and along the A9 to Inverness Caedonian Thistle football ground. Large crowds turned out to cheer them on and the charity buckets were well received.

The total collected was £5300 and the moey has been split between RSABI (£1750), Farmstrong (£1000), Young Lives v Cancer (£1750) , and the remainder to the Rotary Clubs' Charity funds (£400 each)

Farmstrong is a Charity that provides counselling and mental health services to anyone involved in the business of agriculture and farming.
