What a day that was. The 2025 Rotary Feil Maree on DIngwall High Street and in the cromartie car park.
On what turned out to be perfect weather for a street open day we estimate that more than 1000 people broowsed the charity stalls along the length of the High Street and visited the classic cars in the car park. All the while they were entertained by terrific performances on the community stage which was kindly loaned by the Community Council.
The efforts of the Dingwall Rotarians to collect and erect the stall was phenominal and they were extremely grateful for the help thay received from the Dingwall Lodge Freemasons. Proof that local organisations working together can achieve miracles
The event opened at 1100 with many stalls sold out by the finish at 1500. We do not ask the charities to provide details of their take, but a few snapshots indicate that in total the charities benefir=ted by more than £5000.
The programme of events on the stage incuded music by Feis Ross, highland dancing by the Wilson Highland Dancers, a feast of guitar music by Tickety Boo, music from the Inver -ross band and entertinment from the Feis Ross Youth Groups. Rotary would like to thank all of the entertainers for providing a superb days entertainment.
The much valued organising skills of Gordon Macrea ensured that we had a good show of classic cars --120 in total, including lorries and tractors. Well done to all the vehicle owners who turned out on the day to provide such a grand display. The cars were judged for rarity, looks, condition etc and the prizes were presnted by the County's Deputy Lord Lieutenant Angus Watson. Grateful thanks to Angus for giving up his time to view the event on the street and in the car park.
