RYLA is a leadership development course. It is not a pass or fail course and you will be as successful on it as you are willing to be. There are no limits for your development. We aim to help you realise some of the leadership potential that others have seen when they selected you for it. It is not an outward bound course! Yes, a lot of the activities may take place outside but it is about using a variety of activities, both in and outdoors to develop you as an individual, as a team member and as a leader of a team in a safe and enjoyable environment.
There are course that we run in the summer school or college holidays for young people who are 16 and 17 years old.
Participants are sought by the Club and, once the award has been accomplished, they are encouraged to come along to the Club and to give a presentation about their experience and what they managed to achieve. Everyone who has undertaken RYLA says that it has enriched their life and helped them to understand different aspects of working with a team.
more The Club has a ‘running’ agenda in helping youngsters in our Community. Each year we arrange events for youngsters to participate in, such as A Young Technician’s Tournament and The Rotary Young Leader Award.
back Rotary believes in developing the next generation of leaders. Our programs help younger leaders build leadership skills, expand education and learn the value of service.
