In 1972 the Club purchased Rotary House, a property overlooking Peasholm Park. In collaboration with Leeds Kidney Research Unit, it was converted for holiday use by families with a member on dialysis. It was the first such bespoke holiday home in the country, if not the world.
Under the Club’s stewardship this property continues to be used for local charitable purposes today.
more The format of our weekly meeting is a half an hour get together for a pre dinner drink, then a two course meal followed, for most meetings, a talk, given either by a guest speaker or, on occasions, a Club member.
back The Club was founded in October 1921 and was granted a Charter in December of that year. Our Club has a great tradition and pedigree and we can justifiably be proud of what we have and continue to achieve locally and internationally.
