Senior Exmoor Challenge

For Children’s Hospice SW

The 2026 Rotary Club of Exmoor Challenge - Sunday 12th April 2026

Supporting Children’s Hospice South West and other local charities

I am writing to invite your club members to take part in the 2026 Exmoor Challenge between Districts 1175 and 1200.

We hope that Club members from the South West will rally again and take the opportunity to get out and about for a good cause. We will be using Bampton Community Hall (Barnhay, Bampton EX16 9NG) as our base with two different walks around the area, one 4 miles, the other 7 miles.

Rotarians, their families, and friends from Rotary Districts 1175 and 1200 earn points for their District by completing either the 4 or 7 mile walk. The shield is currently held by District 1200 so we hope that Clubs in District 1175 will turn out in force to try to reclaim the trophy!   Walkers over 18 pay an entry fee of £10. Walkers under 18 enter free, but an adult must accompany them.  Dogs are welcome, but owners must keep them under control as the Challenge is held in the lambing season. PROPER WALKING SHOES/BOOTS ARE ADVISED.

Would you please include this letter in your club bulletin and put the event in your club diary and also please publicise the event as widely as possible to increase the amount raised for the cause.

More details will be available in March including the routes, registration information and sponsorship forms.

If you require any further information, please contact challenge@exmoor-rotary.org.uk
