International Connections

We support The Rotary Foundation Charity and End Polio Now.

This year two of our members attended the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Canada where over 15,000 Rotarians from 120 countries also attended.

We have fundraised to send monies to Rotarians working in supportive countries bordering Ukraine, working with refugees and those suffering as a result of the war there.  We have also worked with Shelterbox to support people in Turkey and Syria as a result of the earthquakes there.  We have also supported a District project to supply temporary housing for villagers in Moshchun in Ukraine. 

We have also worked to access grant funding to support Ukrainian families living locally.

We have attended meetings online hosted by Rotarians in India and including members from across the globe and helped train midwives in Sierra Leone.  We lend monies to entrepreneurs in third world countries through the charity Lend With Care and have welcomed speakers from the other side of the world! 

Our club maximises contact with and support for people and other Rotarians across the world!
