Knaresborough Rotary Club has welcomed its youngest member. The lowest age to become a member of Rotary is 18, and Josh Taylor has joined today on his 18th birthday, making him at that moment the world’s youngest Rotarian. Josh’s father, Graham, is already a member, so Knaresborough Rotary now has a father and son as members and a total of 50 members. Last year, in the summer of 2025, Josh took part in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards residential course and has for some time been helping with Knaresborough Rotary’s Revolution team and the SPACE Bus. Josh, a pupil at King James’s School, is an accomplished musician and has been heavily involved with leading youth projects at Gracious Street Methodist Church. He is studying for a BTEC in performing Arts and Media Studies at KJS where he leads the ‘Tech Crew’ for theatrical productions. He also has a part time job. Josh was welcomed into membership by Knaresborough Rotary President Deborah Wilson.
