What a great turnout for our fourth Annual Charity Quiz at The Linford, Newtown Linford, a great venue. It was completely sold out without having to design posters or advertise — that’s how good they are.
Ninety-four 94 quizzers and one brilliant Quiz Inquisitor enjoyed fish, chips and mushy peas although some went for a pie option.
This years charity was one we’ve supported every year in some way, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People and we were delighted to have Gary Farnfield, their Community Fundraising Manager, joining us and not only telling us about the work they do but also joining one of the teams.
So, how much DID we raise? £1,100 and with a bit more after we took into account Gift Aid.
Bradgate Rotary president Nicki Little said a huge thank you to Groby Fish Bar for not only cooking the best fish and chips ever but that one of you helped not only with delivery but serving the quizzers. She also thanked quizmaster Paul Sharratt for again making the questions JUST hard enough, but not TOO difficult to answer.
These annual quizzes are Rotary being part of the community. If you’d like to make a difference and be part of Bradgate Rotary then give Alan Rockey a call on 07584 683022 or email bradgaterotary@gmail.com.
