All visitors/spectators can purchase a scarecrow village map and voting slips from the Stamford Arms between 10am to 4pm, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September 2023.
A donation of £3 per map is recommended.
JUDGING CRITERIA
DESIGN
All the scarecrows must be built from scratch, straw being the main component, however reusing and recycling of materials is strongly encouraged.
OVERALL IMPRESSIONS
We are looking for that scarecrow with a little bit extra that follows our theme this year of Nursery Rhymes
PUBLIC VOTING
Return your voting slip to the Stamford Arms after you have viewed all the contestants and place them in the letterbox provided by Sunday September 17th by 4pm.
All winners will be announced at 6pm at the Stamford Arms, Groby.
JUDGING CATEGORY’S
Under 14s : Over 15s : Family Group: School, Business or Social Group : Overall Champion : Public Vote Winner
They aren’t really many rules as to how you build or design your scarecrow – eg. Straw, reusing or recycling old materials etc.
All we ask is that the main component be straw, otherwise it wouldn’t be a scarecrow.
Please try to enter into this year’s theme of Nursery Rhymes and please keep it polite and appropriate.

PUBLIC VIEWING OF SCARECROWS
10am to 4pm, Sat 16th and Sun 17th September 2023 Scarecrows must displayed at the front of your property.
You agree to photographs being taken of your scarecrow and used online or press including our Social Media posts.
Bradgate Rotary Club will not be held responsible for any damage to Third Party property or people, caused by the creation or insecurity of scarecrows.
