Bradgate Calendar 2022

The 2022 calendar sold out with phenomenal success last year which demonstrated fantastic support for the project. 

We are very grateful to all concerned including our sponsors and the volunteers that have helped make this another successful year. 

This 2022 calendar has been sponsored by several companies but has also been funded using money raised from a pizza project run by Bradgate Rotary during the Covid 19 lockdown. We wanted to give people something a bit different to eat as a treat and a change during lockdown. We were able to obtain a grant from our local Rotary District which we matched financially in order to offer free pizzas to people who needed some support and to key workers to help them feel appreciated. Members of the club delivered the pizzas and the owner and staff of the Stamford Arms, Groby gave their time for free. A big ‘thank you’ to all of them from our club.

Our Rotary Motto is ‘Service above Self’ and we feel that this project epitomises this commitment. All the people involved gave freely of their time and energy in order to serve local people in need or to show appreciation for key workers. And as a bonus it helped us raise money for our chosen charities. This year’s stunning collection of 12 photographs was chosen through an open competition for local and not so local amateur photographers. We received over 500 entries and had an almost impossible task selecting the twelve that you can see in the finished calendar. Our thanks go to all those who submitted photos and our congratulations to the 12 successful participants.
