As part of its commitment to being a part of the communities it serves, the Rotary Club of Bradgate took a stall at the Groby Parish Council’s annual Party In The Park.

And who better to come up with an idea and “run with it” than parish councillor and Bradgate Rotary treasurer Lesley Trivett?

The idea was to appeal to members and friends to donate bottles full of wine and empty bottles; then to fill the empties with water before placing them in bags.

Visitors to the Party In The Park were invited to pay £1 and to choose which bagged bottle they would like to take away. The lucky ones chose wine. The less lucky had a bottle of water that they could take away or leave for the Rotary volunteers to recycle.

Bradgate Rotary raised £349 for dementia charities.
