One of the high points of any Rotary club president's year of office is to welcome a new member.
That privilege and pleasure arrived early for Andrea Wilkinson, whose year as president of Bradgate Rotary began on July 1.
She seized the opportunity at the earliest moment to welcome Beverley Bell.
Beverley lives in Markfield and in her professional life has been a TV documentary film maker and Senior TV Producer, making a variety of programmes ranging from Teenagers with Cancer through to the Holocaust – as well as live TV
Her hobbies include travelling and discovering new places. She is an eco-print artist (something her new club members will enjoy learning about!) and she enjoys socialising with friends and meeting new people.
Together with a fellow volunteer fundraiser, Beverley enjoys organising fundraising events, mainly for Rainbows Children’s Hospice and she helps run two book clubs.
Immediately after being admitted to the club by President Andrea, other members said: “Beverley has already been active with the club spending time and commitment to give Service Above Self!”
