Lesson 6 - Poverty and Business as usual!
This is my final lesson to you all and I hope you have found the lessons interesting and thought provoking. I finished my voluntary work at Tea Leaf Vision on Saturday after the 'Thank you' party which we did for all of the volunteers who worked on the extremely successful Children's Societies project. The project had taken most of my attention during my time here and over 1500 children attended. This means the communities of those children across 12 locations have all been given the opportunity to learn more, play and have fun! I am so pleased with the success of the programme. It was wonderful to hear such happy children as I visited the centres this week.
I am now about to spend my last few days relaxing on the beach at the south west point of Sri Lanka, in Unawatuna (back packer and surfers place). I need this time to recover from the hard work and prepare for my visit home to G!
