At the end of 2025 there had been 10 cases of Polio in Afghanistan and 31 in Pakistan. However no cases had been reported this year (at the end of February). The World Health Organisation believe that Polio could be eradicated by the end of 2027 which would be a massive achievement which will help to improve or save the lives of many. The campaign must keep up efforts and mass vaccinations continue. It was reported that in a recent week over 42 million children in Pakistan were vaccinated!
To keep the campaign going we need your help and donations are welcome.
Rotarians across District 1240 have formed a District 1240 End Polio Now Club to raise the profile and encourage suppiort. All donations are welcome but if you donate £48 or more you will be recognised as a member of the club and recieve a certtificate and pin badge.
