At the beginning of June we set ourselves the challenge, as a club, to walk, run or jog some 6 million steps, equivalent to walking the length of the English Coastline.
We thought this was an ambitious target but we underestimated the enthusiasm of our members, their families, friends and even pets. And we have achieved an amazing 11+ million steps.
But we didn't do this just for the benefit of our health and waistline, although our then President does claim to have lost a few pounds and inches from his waist.
No, we did it to support two local Charities, Worcester Samaritans and Worcester Relate. We did it because the response to the Corona Virus Pandemic is putting great strain on many families and individuals and will continue to do so. Both Samaritans and Relate will need all the resources they can muster to support those who are worst affected in our area.
