Street collection in Uppingham

On 28 October betwen 0900 and 1200 10 members collected in Uppingham town centre on behalf of the "End Polio Now" campaign.  During the course of the morning £345 was collected which, in order to take advantage of a favourable exchange rate, was dispatched to the Rotary Foundation that same afternoon supplemented by the anticipated GiftAid receipts.  Our efforts were supported by the presence of Sir Alan Duncan, our local MP, who had supported the campaign whilst a Minister at DFiD.
