General Meeting

Thursday, 11 June 2026 Breakfast meeting Apologies- Dave C, David M, Lesley, Sue P, Ronan. Guest - Deborah Leek-Bailey Welcome Kathy welcomed Ronan to the club in his absence. Birthdays- Godfrey on 15th and Sarah on 16th. - For those joining Sarah to celebrate - dancing shoes for a good boogie to 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s music before Sarah’s daughter’s music comes on! Festival vibes  Kathy’s update- After a soaking on the tarmac before boarding, Kathy’s flight to Italy was 45 minutes faster than usual - must have boy racer pilots!- After the warmth of Italy Kathy, sometimes too hot, is back home under 20 tog of duvets at night! International - Andrew M has shared the committees minutes with the board in preparation for a discussion at board next week. Car parking- 4/7 is fully covered.- Dates for the rest of the year will be included in the Events folder, they are: - Thursday 13/07, Saturday 22/8, Sunday 27/9, Saturday 28/11 and Saturday 2/1/27. Cream tea 23/7 12.30- Registered your attendance and any guests in the Events folder. 1 Handover evening meeting 25/6 - Ensure your menu choices and any guests are in the Events folder. Board meeting 17/6 5pm at Kathy’s. AOB- Mel, from the Plough, has changed jobs and is now the manager of the cafe in Whitstable Tesco Extra. Raffle won by Pippa, a bottle of Brenley red wine. Bertie Bassett - Godfrey says we’re all too good, everybody is behaving so well he fined us all for doing so!- Pete fined Alexa for not playing Black Legs despite numerous conversations . Black Lace and Agado was the best she could do - Godfrey then regaled us with a story which lacked equality! Andrew B told us all about Keith’s teeth, or lack of them! Final Toast given by Sarah.
