Breakfast meeting

Birthdays
- Happy birthday to Andrew M for today and David K on Monday - ages not
disclosed 
Grace given by Paul, followed by another delicious breakfast.
Sue MacKenzie’s presentation
- The club thoroughly enjoyed the evening - both the presentation and a plentiful
menu. The nomads seem to have attracted everyone’s attention with their satellite
dishes and electricity!
- Herne Bay rotary members commented on what a great club Chestfield is 
Car parking
- Good amount raised, well done, it was a busy day.
- Sarah and Deborah passed their initiation to the event!
Next week’s meeting
- We have a talk from the Sadie Bristow Foundation which provides tennis and
athleticism coaching in 2 local schools. It supports parents coping with allergies
and anaphylaxis, as well as campaigning for better healthcare and support for
allergy sufferers.
- Sadie’s mum Clare will be talking to us, very sadly Sadie died as a result of a
sudden and unexplained anaphylactic event in August 2018 aged 9.
AGM 21/05
- An agenda along with board members and committee reports will be circulated
nearer the time.

Books for Schools
- Andrew B has now spent £300 buying books from the Demelza bookshop. He
has a good selection of good quality books, assisted in choice by retired teachers
volunteering in the shop.
Walk for Water
- David M visited Whitstable Endowed school who are about to undertake their
walk.
- Whitstable Junior school have donated their money, over £600. One child raised
£210 and another £190 
- The prevention will be on 18/06. Whitstable Junior and Endowed schools and the
University staff will join us for breakfast.
AOB
- Andrew told us that Jean, after spending a week in hospital having an infection
treated, is now home, exhausted.
- Sue V has spoken to Sarah at the Monument and the marquee is available for our
Handover meeting evening meal on 25/06.
Raffle won by David M, a bottle of white.
Master at Arms
- In Dave C and Godfrey’s absence Andrew B gave fines for eyes being bigger than
tummies, as well as guilty consciences.
- He then regaled us with another poem from his current favourite poet - Miss
Messy, an untidy child with pandering parents who received her just reward  .

Next weeks meeting 14/05 7.30 for 8am at the Monument with the presentation
from the Sadie Bristow foundation.
