Breakfast meeting
Apologies

- Grace given by Andrew M, followed by breakfast.
The Board met on Tuesday this week, the notes will be circulated with these meeting
notes. NB there is a lot of repetition!
Fight against Polio
- Kathy has signed the Stakeholder letter on behalf of the club, club members can also
do this as individuals.
- Polio week this year is 24-30/4 so sadly no time to arrange anything.
International
- African Oyster Trust, the £1000 has been gratefully received to fund training for a
couple of much needed midwives.
- We’ve received an appeal from Shelterbox to assist in replenishing boxes after a large
number being sent to Lebanon. Andrew proposed the club donate £400, seconded by
Sue V, one abstention, otherwise unanimously agreed.
- TWAM - Saturdays’s collection in Chestfield is fully manned from 10-1pm.
Treasurer
- The quiz raised £866 which was good considering our reduced numbers.
- Further to the notes on the Board meeting David has successfully managed legal
movement of funds between the charity accounts to enable us to give each of Kathy’s
charities £1500 at the handover meeting.
- Club members were asked if they know of any charities or good causes who require
financial support for particular projects to let the Board know, there is opportunity for
match funding too.
Chestfield and Canterbury fundays
- General feeling that we don’t do either. We really gained nothing.

Harbour Day 15/08
- Splat the Rat, giving the rats a refurb by the Tankerton Yarn Bombers!
- Introduce a swing ball tin can game, aka skittles!
AGM 21/05
- Committee chairs will discuss their year and chairs for next year will be confirmed.
Handover meeting 25/06
- Pete will introduce his year and committee chairs will discuss their plans.
Speaker meetings
- Sue MacKenzie 30/4 evening meeting at the Heron.
- Clare Bristow 14/05 talking about the Sadie Bristow Foundation and anaphylaxis.
- Walk for Water presentation to schools 18/6.
Future evening meetings
- A decision will be made on using the Heron after the meeting on 30/04.
Future Social Events
- Sue V will investigate the Lamberhurst farm visit - Canterbury Cheesemakers.
- Escape room date will be mid May.
- Social event at the Ales and Blooms to be investigated, along with a trip to the Oyster
Farm.
AOB
- Godfrey thanked everyone who helped set up and tidy up after the quiz, as well as the
raffle prize donations.
- Andrew M met Dave C and his family situation seems to be still challenging.
Raffle won a by Sue V, a bottle of red.
Master at Arms
- Andrew B took the role on today and fined people for same seating, failing to prepare
coinage, special measures, mobile phones, clearing plates before people have finished
eating!
