Grace given by Andrew M followed by breakfast. Our delightful waitress,
resplendent in his pinny ensured Orange juice glasses were topped up and plates
and bowls collected.
Kathy praised Jude, and the club applauded his speaking skills, and the activity he
had us doing.
Kathy will be off to Italy after next week’s meeting. Kevin went off early this morning
hopefully with passport, laptop and phone!
Quiz 11/04
- We are low on numbers this year, tickets are still available.
- Godfrey will be at the hall from 6pm and welcomes some members to put out the
tables and chairs. Also after the event please help tidy the hall.
TWAM 18/04
- The two Andrews are off to collect ‘stuff’ today, another load was collected earlier
in the week so Andrew M’s garage is filling up.
- A number of people have put their names down to be at the collection point on
18th, however fewer are needed. This will be sorted at next week’s meeting.
Anaphylaxis speaker 14/05
- The grandmother of a young girl who died from an anaphylaxis event is coming to
raise awareness and understanding.
- She will have a light breakfast.
Board meeting 14/04

1
- Andrew requested real cream and strawberries in the Victoria sandwich
African OysterTrust
- The money from our district grant application has now reach the Trust, and they
have sent their thanks.
- Apologies for the email bombardment yesterday but the African internet capacity
did not allow for the photos to be on one email.
Evening meeting 30/04
- The menu has been sent out, please ensure your choices are either on the page
in the Events folder or direct to Robert ASAP.
- Sue McKenzie will be presenting the scientific exploration society project in
Mongolia.
AOB
- Spyros has Californian poppies for sale today.
Raffle was won by Maureen, a box of Roses.
Bertie Bassett’s Master at Arms
- Bells, shorts, not attending the quiz and Rotary badges all attracted fines. Kathy
fined herself as she left her handbag at the pub after last weeks meeting! It meant
a return journey and a wasted hour! Spyros fined Fiona for another mistake in the
notes of the meeting. NB these are intentional just to see who reads them
- Godfrey then regaled us with a tale about a faith healer’s failure! Apparently the
story is true and over 60 years old.
Final toast given by Pippa.
Next meeting 16/04 7.30 for 8am breakfast, at the monument.
