Breakfast meeting

Walk for Water
- It was a brilliant day the sun shone, it was dry underfoot and the children were
very cheerful
- It was good to see Nic and Andrew’s family members.
Spyros informed us that Sarah who joined us as a guest last week, enjoyed her visit
and may come again.
Speaker meeting 2/4
Jude Robertson will be joining us next week to talk about living with a stammer.
Gardening 28/4
- As many volunteers as we can get, meeting at 9am. Coffee and biscuits could be
available.
AOB
- David informed us that Dave C’s Up the Creek ukulele band had given a £500
charity donation.
- A further £9000 gift aid was received into our account.
- Dorothy Cheeseman, the long standing president of the League of Friends of
Whitstable and Tankerton hospital has died.
- The next board meeting is at Kathy’s home, 12 Pennington Close, Westbere, CT2
0HL on 14/4 starting at 5pm.
- Robert attended the Chestfield Parish Council meeting where the local plan was
discussed with lots of new housing. It didn’t include a SEN school on Church
Street playing field which is subject to a village green application.

Master at Arms
- Godfrey had Bertie Bassett at hand in Dave c’s absence fining members for
lateness, photo bombing, being Maurice Chevalier and forgetfulness!
- He regaled us with a comic story about out of hours activities at a medical
conference involving a surgeon and an anaesthetist.
Raffle was won by David M.
