Breakfast meeting
Apologies
- Lesley, Sue P, Sue V, Gerry and Maggie.
Kathy welcomed us all to the meeting. Kathy saw Phil Lennard, a previous member,
recently. She felt he looked healthier now.
Young Lives versus Cancer
- The charity is pleased with the Govt promise to help pay travel expenses for
parents.
Breakfast meeting 19/02/26
- As the Monument cannot accommodate us on this date Peter has sorted a
change of venue. This meeting will be held at the Heron, Station Road, Herne Bay
CT6 5QJ. Same format, timing and costs. Maxine the ADG and a speaker from
Demelza Hospice will be with us.
Grace was provided by Paul, and a pleasant breakfast partaken of.
Marian’s funeral
- A number of members attended what was a lovely service. Marian certainly did a
lot in her lifetime. The wake after at the Marine was pleasant. A donation was
made to the Friends of Whitstable Healthcare in Marian’s name by the club.
Car Parking
- Last Saturday’s session went well.
- We only have three sessions over the next few months, all Saturdays.

Reggie’s funeral
- Tomorrow - Pippa has log in details for anyone who wishes to ‘attend’ online.
- A donation has been made the Waterloo Centre in memory of Reggie by the club.
Walk for Water 20/03/26
- Please ensure your attendance at this event, sheet in the Events folder.
- A venue for lunch afterwards is yet to be identified.
Gardening 28/03
- A morning session will be held 9-12 at the Whitstable and Tankerton hospital.
There will be a sheet in the book.
AOB
- Quiz night 11/04 - this will be held at the Seasalter Christian Centre, 49
Faversham Road, Seasalter CT5 4AX. tables of six, tickets remain the same price.
Raffle won by David K, some chocolates.
Master at Arms
- Challenging Grace, jokes, fashion icon, nurses uniforms were all reasons for a
fine.
- Sadly Google was unable to find the Dentist in old Aberdeen poem that Dave C
regaled us with!
Final toast given by Godfrey.
