Thursday, 16 October 2025 Breakfast meeting Apologies- David K, Dave C, Gerry, Godfrey, Sue V, Reggie. Guests- Sue P, Robert Macfarlane in absentia! Grace from Paul, who upset the chef Induction of Sue Prosser- Objects of Rotary read by Sheila.- Sponsored by Pat. - Inducted by Kathy.- Welcomed by the Club.- Sue P has met some lovely people and looks forward to being a useful member.- Paul stated he wants some new men… Red Zebra District grant- Last years district grant was partially returned by Red Zebra as it could not be organised due to the school timetable. Current District grant applications- David M informed the club that the two applications have been approved by District, they now await sign off by Rotary International which is a paper exercise. Open your Hearts to Bhutan- Pippa has circulated a Facebook link on Emma’s fundraising walk in the Himalayas which starts imminently. Shoeboxes by next week if possible. Kevin’s IT saga one parcel was delivered yesterday via a tour of Italy. Still awaiting release and delivery of the second parcel! Watch this space � � 1 Toy and Clothing Collection 25/10- 9.30-1pm at the WI Hall in Chestfield- Will be sorting into age and gender and bagging.- After will need delivery to organiser in Whitstable.- Parking available on main road. Evening meeting 25/11- David K’s daughter will be giving a presentation. International - Andrew B has had a request from BOO, a charity which support troubled youngsters in Kenya through football. AOB - Artists Open House, Pat is opening her studio as part of this over the next two weekends, she and 4 other artisans have their work on show and available for purchasing. Fiona visited last weekend and said it is well worth a visit. Many beautiful pieces on display.- Pippa updated the club on Marian. She remains very frail but still welcomes visitors, please ring before visiting to check with Anthony or Gerard.- Pippa will be away 21-30 October, Fiona will cover any necessary almoner duties during that time. Raffle won by Maggie, another bottle for her daughter in law! Master at Arms - absent! Final toast given by Andrew B. Next meeting is the SGM, 23/10 7.30 for 8am at the Monument
