Thursday, 4 September 2025 Breakfast meeting Apologies- Andrew B, David M, Reggie, Jean, Maureen, Elaine, Sue. Guests- Ron and Sue. Birthdays Robert celebrates on Friday 12th Grace given by Paul. Kathy left after breakfast and Pat took over the chair. Kathy is away next week, Andrew B will hold court � �! Sleigh - a sleigh has been offered to clubs in the district, details attached to email, it would need housing when not in use. Pat suggested she investigate storage at Brenley Farm. Rotary Concert - 10/10 info in email sent out. International- Request for Shelterbox for Afghanistan, will wait for a discussion next week when Andrew B and David M are back. Membership- Sue has chosen to join us, Pete was tasked with getting the wheels in motion - Mel was going to join us this morning but due to a family emergency she was unable to get here. Fundraising- Golf day - all in hand, just need more raffle prizes. - Car parking - shifts all covered for Sunday, Godfrey will send out the rota. 1 Social- Cream tea 29/9 3-5 at the Waterloo Centre is now fully booked. £5 pp will be taken from meal accounts. Spyros’ greengrocers was open for tomatoes and marrow. Raffle won by Fiona, a bottle of Lambrini. Master @ Arms fined a number of people for phone calls, early morning vodka, molesation and enjoyment of the same! Dave C then regaled us with a poem on child poverty: Muvver barfing bayby skelington…. Final toast given by Spyros. Next meeting 11/9, 7.30 for 8am at the Monument
