Business:             Pat welcomed our speaker tonight and guests.  Pate said a Happy Birthday to Lesley for 1st October.  Lesley has only arrived back from USA today and is still on USA time, which is why she isn't with us tonight.  Pippa said she has spoken to Lesley and passed on greetings from her.

                                Kevin passed on greetings from Whitstable rotary club.

                                Pat introduced tonight's speaker, Gloria, who talked about interaction between humans and animals in the ocean, and how human behaviour is affecting the ocean environment.  Pat is the author of a number of books for adults and children about the ocean and its inhabitants.  These can be ordered from her website:  www.barnettauthor.co.uk
