Speaker:         Pat introduced tonight’s speaker, Jane Priston, who spoke to us about the life and achievements of the pioneer female aviator Amy Johnson.  Jane is the founder and director of the Amy Johnson Project.  Jane was involved in the placing of the statue of Amy Johnson on Herne Bay seafront (one of two made from the same mould, the other being in Amy’s home town of Hull).    Jane’s ambition is to see a film made of Amy’s life story.

                        David M led a vote of thanks to Jane, and wished her well with the Project.

AoB:                Members are reminded that it is TWAM this week end.

                        Chislet Bowls club have reminded Dave C about the possibility of having another bowls afternoon there for club members.  On a show of hands, there would appear to be some interest in this.  Dave said the season’s fixture list has only just been published; he will explore some dates with the club.

Raffle:             Was won by Pete.

Master-at-Arms:          Nick being absent, Godfrey was in the chair.  However, he had to fine himself for forgetting to bring Bertie Bassett.
