Club business:
Lesley briefed the Club on the current down turn in Club funds, e.g. fewer members attending meetings ( MAA contributions down as a consequence) loss of four members ( therefore reduction in membership income)
There are fixed costs e.g. speaker costs, honoraria, regalia. Almoner’s expenses.
The Board had agreed that all current officers will give up 25% of their remaining Honoraria this year to support the Club.
The Board also propose:
1. A reduction in Honoraria for future Club Officers, from 2022/2023 as follows:
President - £250
President Elect £100
International Chair - £50
Secretary - £50
Treasurer - £50
These will be paid in 2 equal parts – September and February of each Club Year.
2. The Club will increase membership fee to £100 per year from 2022/23, i.e. in July 2022 (last increase was 2017)
Items 1 and 2 are proposals and will be voted on at the SGM in November.
Any comments from members on these proposals are welcome and should be sent to Lesley prior to the SGM.
