Christmas Street Collection 9th December 2018

Our annual collection in Chestfield of food and clothing for those supported by Catching Lives and Food Bank Canterbury


What a great success, and once again the residents of Chestfield came up with a fantastic selection of food and clothing for us to distribute.

The clothing etc has already been delivered to Catching Lives, along with over £200 worth of food from the monies donated to us on the night.

The donated food is being checked by our members and will then be made up into special packs for a selection of needy families in Whitstable area with the rest being collected later this week by Canterbury Food Bank.

Once again our thanks to everyone who supported us.

Dear Rotary Club of Chestfield

I would like to thank you very much, on behalf of Catching Lives, for the recent donation of food from the Rotary Club of Chestfield.  Please pass on our thanks to all who helped collecting these items.  We appreciate all the donations we receive and they go a long way in supporting the clients who access our Centre.

Our Winter Shelter is now up and running. Using various church halls in Canterbury (one each night), we are able to provide bed spaces for homeless individuals.  Besides showers, laundry facilities and evening meals we also provide help and advice with housing and work and hopefully are able to find accommodation and work for some of the individuals who come to Catching Lives.

Your support is very much appreciated.
