A dinner to commemorate 100 years since the end of WW1
This event was a great success and everyone had a good night.
We were pleased to have the company of Lord Mayor, Cllr. Colin Spooner, and Lady Mayoress, Mrs. Julie Spooner at the dinner.
Our speaker for the evening was Ron Benning, one of our Club members, who gave a very informative overview of how the War started and its key elements events leading up to the Armistice Day signing that ended it.
