Charity Food & Clothing Collections

To: Chestfield Residents that supported our Christmas Collections

A very big THANK YOUto everyone who gave so generously to our Christmas Collection on Sunday 10^th December 2017 in aid of Canterbury Foodbank, Porchlight and local residents in need.

Once again your generosity was exceptional and we were able to donate a huge amount of warm clothing, bedding etc to Porchlight and a very large amount of food to Canterbury Foodbank. Both these organisation’s send their warmest thanks for your generosity which means even more at this time of year, especially as the weather is getting much colder.

Father Christmas, and his little helpers, were so pleased to see so many happy faces on both the young and old on such a cold night and he has promised to try to make a return trip next year!

For those that made donations of cash the money will be used to buy selected food needs for Porchlight who provide hot meals and drinks for the homeless which is especially needed at this time of year.

Once again thank you from me, and all our Club members, and may we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
