We were very please to elcome our Dutch colleagues to the UK for an exchange weekend and to have the pleasure of their company once again.
After arriving on Friday night and spending time with their hosts on Saturday we visited The Spitfire Museum at Manston, The Turner Gallery in Margate, had a picnic on the beach and then went to do battle at Quex Park on the crazy golf course for the honour of winning "The Acorn" or Squirell that has become a feature of our clubs meetings together.
After several recounts and adjusting of the figures it was agreed it was a draw and The Acorn returned to Holland for another year!
Saturday night saw a great BBQ at the home of Pat & Robert and the chance to see the sunset and "Strawberry Moon" on such a clear night.
On Sunday morning we all had Brunch at The Bubble in Whitstable before saying good by to our guests as they headed back to Holland.
Both clubs agreed it was a great weekend of fun and fellowship, what Rotary is all about!
Well done to Andrew and his team, plus those that hosted our friends, for another great weekend.
